Birth & daytime/overnight Postpartum support based in Queens , Serving the NYC Metro Area
Birth and Postpartum Doula
Hi, I’m Allison — a birth and postpartum doula based in Queens, New York, supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period.
I offer grounded, nurturing doula care for families seeking both practical support and emotional presence during one of life’s most sacred transitions. My work is rooted in the belief that birth and postpartum are not just physical experiences, but deeply transformational moments that deserve to be held with care, patience, and respect.
As an overnight postpartum doula, I support families during the most vulnerable hours — when rest is hardest to come by and reassurance matters most. Overnight support allows parents to sleep while knowing their newborn is cared for with attentiveness and calm. I provide newborn care, feeding support, emotional reassurance, and gentle guidance so families can wake feeling more rested, supported, and confident.
About Me
My journey into birth work began with becoming a mother. I have two boys, born three years apart, and each birth deeply shaped how I understand pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care. My first son was born in 2012, and while that experience introduced me to the power of birth, it also sparked many questions. In the three years between my two births, I intentionally learned more about birth education, informed decision-making, and maternal support.
When I welcomed my second son, that birth was profoundly different because of what I had learned during that time. Experiencing two distinct births showed me how knowledge, advocacy, and compassionate support can transform not only the birth experience, but the way a mother carries it forward into postpartum and beyond.
Birth continued to stay close to my heart. In 2023, I had the honor of attending my first birth outside of my own, supporting my sister as she welcomed my niece, Stella, into the world. Named after my mother, Stella’s birth felt deeply meaningful and full-circle. From that moment, Healing Stella was born — rooted in lineage, healing, and the sacred transition into motherhood.
I completed two years of mentorship with Manhattan Birth and I am now a member of the East River Doula Collective. Being part of these birth communities allows me to stay supported, connected, and continually learning. I approach my work with the belief that no one should move through birth or the postpartum period alone, and I am honored to offer grounded, intuitive, and reliable support.
My approach blends evidence-based postpartum care with intuitive, heart-centered support. Whether you are navigating your first nights at home, recovering from birth, or adjusting to life with a growing family, I aim to create a peaceful environment where healing, rest, and bonding can unfold naturally.
Above all, my intention is to help families feel held — physically, emotionally, and energetically — so they can move through the postpartum period with greater ease and trust.
I also support lactation having completed Integrative Lactation Feeding Specialist training with Manhattan Birth.

Testimonials
“Allison quite literally saved our lives. With a baby struggling with sleep and reflux issues (okay, it was we who were struggling with the reflux and sleep; baby was having a great time), Allison immediately earned our trust as someone we would welcome into our home to manage an overnight with our baby, which was a big jump for first-time New York parents.
Not just trustworthy and reliable, Allison was attentive and compassionate and made friends with our baby in no time during a very grumpy era.
We could not recommend Allison more highly."

“Thanks! I would be happy to write a review or give a reference for you if that would be helpful. Russ and I both found you to be incredibly professional, supportive, knowledgeable and gentle with Eleanor. You helped validate a lot of things as normal and make sure we didn't stress over things we don't need to.”
